Another quiet night, but very enjoyable. Paul accompanied me on harmonica for a rendition of the Sleepy John Estes tune "Leavin Trunk", Ella very kindly took second slot and gave us two lovely songs on the piano although the second was very sad, then Clive took the stage and gave us two fine songs.
Simon was up next again accompanied by Paul and finished with a beautiful Gillian Welch song. Helga was next with a lovely flute improvisation around Moondance and then Ella and I joined her for an impromptu rendition of Purple Rain. Then we had some of Chris Liddiard's wonderful self penned songs. Next up was Dudley a newcomer to me with a couple of very nice folk songs. Anne then performed one of her funny self-penned poems. Rachel arrived late after a series of disasters and we did three songs together with our usual hiccups due to lack of rehearsal! We closed out with a little band including Helga, and Paul.
