Six Bells Folk & Blues Club  Chiddingly, East Sussex

About The Club

Sussex folk clubs are renowned for good music but are not always sociable, strangers receive a warm welcome at the Six Bells. If you are interested in listening to a wide range of acoustically produced music, or just want a relaxed evening in an easy going atmosphere, try turning up at the 6 Bells, Chiddingly, Near Hailsham in East Sussex on a Tuesday night.

Unlike many Folk Clubs the music takes place in the bar and not in an upstairs room isolated from the rest of the pub. Knowing that there will be some background chatter we make use of a sound system. The system has recently been improved and on each evening we now have someone with a "good ear" (usually Andy Barnes) in charge of the sound desk.

The range of music is as varied as the people who turn up to perform, and we like it that way so Folk, Bluegrass, Blues, Irish, Scottish, Modern you can hear it all at The 6 Bells.

We are particularly keen to encourage new people to come and play, if you arrive before 9:30 we will make sure you get the chance to do at least 3 songs. Try the 6 Bells its a great Sussex Folk Club.

Please e-mail us if you want more details or if you are an experienced performer hoping for a booking.
