Performance tips for new players

Six Bells Folk & Blues Club Chiddingly 2001 Programme From time to time we have a guest artist, when we don't we will try to feature one of the regular floor singers (who form the backbone of the club) with a half-hour slot in which to shine. More singers are always welcome. 13th March - Club re-opens - Guest artist - Terry Lees - Guitarist Magazines - Acoustic Guitarist of the Year - players and singers welcome 27th March - Featured regular artist Dave Dyke - players and singers welcome 10th April - Easter Bash with - Guest artist - Paul F Cowlan with Tim Kent (who needs no introduction) running the top bar - players and singers welcome 24th April - Featured regular artist Simon Watt - players and singers welcome 8th May - Featured artists Tony Hobden also Rusty & Fish - players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 22nd May - Featured regular artist Dave Greene - players and singers welcome 5th June - Guest Artists "The Amazing Pilots" - players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 19th June - Featured regular artist Ryan Mawer - players and singers welcome 3rd July - Guest Artists "Solan" - players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 17th July - Featured regular artist Tom Anfield - Tom is a consultant luthier importing Martin and Furch guitars, and yes, he can play - other players and singers welcome 31st July - Featured regular artist James Morris - players and singers welcome August - The 6 Bells Folk & Blues Club are on Holiday 11th September - Guest Artists "The Moondogs" (this gig was cancelled due to the American Terrorist attack) 25th September- The Chiddingly Festival (Fringe) Folk-Night featured Guest Artists J.C.B. with Betty Davila - players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 9th October - Featured regular artists "The Amazing Pilots" - players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. This is an acoustic set, the Pilots will be performing again on Thursday the 11th. 23rd October - Bonnie & Mark (From the Folk Band Touchstone) - local players and singers are very welcome to perform. 6th November - - Guest Artist "Ron Trueman Border" players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 20th November - Guest Artist "Hratch" players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early. 4th December - Dylan theme night presented by Chris Mansell - come and play your favorite Dylan songs to celebrate the fact that the great Bob is now 60. 18th December - 6 Bells Christmas Party night Guest Artists "The Moondogs" players and singers welcome but if you want to perform - arrive early.
